Shorepower for a Marine Contractor
Sea vessels in the harbor cause substantial emissions when they generate their own electricity with diesel or gas engines on board. With shore power, ships connect to a shore power supply, allowing the onboard engines to be turned off.
Our role
Darel was a co-developer and advisor for the ships of Heerema Marine Contractors to a tain large shore power connectivity in the Caland Canal Rotterdam. Darel has experience with multiple shore power studies in all maritime segments: containers, liquid-bulk, cruises, offshore, and coastal shipping. For this, Darel has already conducted many feasibility studies over the past years. uses a proven methodology for this.
